Sunny Sunday

Sydney was beautiful and sunny today, so rather than spend it doing Uni work, we decided to pick a suburb and go for a walk.

Our original intention was to head to Rose Bay, but instead we drove to Watsons Bay. There is a beautiful walking track that attracts a lot of people; both tourists and locals.

It was about 18 degrees which is really warm for a Winter's day. I certainly didn't need to be wearing a long sleeve top and boots!

The walk spans across the edge of the ocean and down to the small beach where many people go for fish and chips.

Sydney has some truly beautiful views and walking tracks and I am so lucky to live so close to such beauty. The best thing about the Winter weather is being able to warm up from a walk and cool down so quickly. I do love such nice weather and there is no way I could have wasted the day sitting at a desk all day!

I hope you all had a nice weekend. Do you live close to any nice walks?

Hey there, Friday.

Hello weekend, you have been missed! Am I the only one that thinks the weeks are flying by?

Dear Friday, we meet again, BFF.

Dear Bed, Thanks so much for breaking the other night at 11pm. I'm glad you thought the best time for that was 11pm. It's not like I was actually getting in to sleep or anything!

Dear S, I'm loving that you only work 2 streets away from me now. These little lunchtime rendezvous' are great! Also, I'm going to win the bet. I WON'T come home from my work party tipsy tonight. You'll see :-P (S thinks I will come home tipsy if previous work parties are anything to go by)

Dear Teddy, You're cute. Especially when you let me blowdry your wet little paws after running around in the rain. You've got that downpat.

Dear nephew-to-be, I can't wait to meet you. I knew it was a little boy growing in there and I am SO excited to meet you in November. Oh baby boy, you are already so loved.

Dear Camera, This weekend - no stuffups, ok? I'm a bit over it!

Dear work/uni, Life is hectic. Work you are super busy and Uni, you are persistent...tone down will you? I need to write more blog posts!

Dear Saturday, We've got big plans. Put on the good weather for us whydon'tya?

Happy weekend friends!

Life in Yellow

A couple of weeks ago, I was sent a photography challenge by This is Ess.
The challenge is Life in Yellow. Simple, but interesting.

I've had a lot of trouble with this challenge because my camera has been playing up. I went out to take pictures two weeks ago and my battery died after one picture was taken. I couldn't take pictures during the week because it's dark when I get home and my flash recently died (it's a new DSLR so I'm not sure what's going on there!). This past weekend, I was really busy and only managed to snap a couple of pictures.

Here is my take on Life in Yellow. I hope next challenge, my pictures are much better because I am not too happy with these ones!

For this picture, we used a lamp for lighting and used selective colour on our DSLR so it only picked up the yellow tones.

Berrima

On Sunday, my parents and I went to Berrima which is in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
It was only my Parents and I. No Steve and no Brothers. I don't think I have ever gone out with just my Mum and Dad!
Berrima is a beautiful little country town (that is super cold!) that boasts antique shops, cozy little cafes, knick knack shops and beautiful scenery.

We started the day by looking through the many shops and of course, stopping by the Berrima Lolly Shop. The lolly shop has any lolly you can think of and a great selection of fresh fudge.

Browsing was followed by a beautiful lunch at the Bushrangers Bistro - the oldest pub to have a continual liqour licence. I had the sausages and mash and my parents both had the Chicken Berrima (Parmigiana).

After lunch, we looked in a few more antique stores and headed over to the park. Mum said she had a
picture of me on the swing from when I was about one so I told her she should get another to compare (I just wanted to use the equipment, it's fun!).

It was a long day and I was so tired at the end, but I had a great time with my parents.
