Currently - Happy Friday!

I haven't done one of these posts since April and a lot has happened since then, so Happy Friday and here you go!

Making: Nothing at the moment, although S won't be home all day tomorrow which gives me ample time to get something started. I want to make some Christmas stockings and start on my work wardrobe that I talked about here

Anticipating: To be honest, not a lot. I've been so busy lately that I am happy for things to quieten down for a few weeks, although this weekend starts the many Christmas get togethers that are coming up between now and Christmas.

Reading: The man and the sea by Ernest Hemmingway and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I'm not loving Gone Girl. Perhaps because I googled the ending and know what is coming up.

Listening: Nothing new recently. I did have to get a bunch of songs ranging from the 50's to now for work and that playlist has been fun to listen to.

Wearing: Shorts, singlets, sandals. Comfortable summer wear!

Looking forward to: Hopefully some overseas travel on the cards for next year. I am desperate to get to the US and if it all works out, we'll be there for my Birthday in May. We're thinking LA (Santa Monica), Vegas, New York, DC (to see Steve's colleagues). Any recs for where to go in those places?
Watching: The walking dead. I forgot about that show for a good six months or so. Lots of catching up to do!

Thinking about: Trick question! I never stop thinking about things. Right now, it's what I should wear to work given it's going to be 40 degrees today.

Loving: I just bought my favourite makeup in the right colour (I bought a shade lighter last week) and the difference it makes it huge. When you're on to a good thing, stick to it!

What about you?

Currently...

Reading – The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I heard about this book from a twitter rec and have only just gotten it on my kindle. So far I am really enjoying it, though not too much of the storyline has unravelled yet.

Listening to – Flight Facilities – Amazing!
I am trying to find some good jazz music to listen to as well, so if you have any recommendations please let me know.

Watching – Homeland! I had heard so much about Homeland but thought it was probably like NCIS or something. It is so different and we are hooked!

Thinking about – Life, how to organise my days better, finishing uni, moving overseas (I’d love to live in the US at some stage of my life).

Loving – The crisp mornings that have been around of late. I love Winter and these crisp mornings are a nice reminder that Winter is just around the corner. Teddy and S!

His beard is red because he eats fresh mince for dinner

Working on – Finishing my degree, hopefully this year. Creating a garden. Not much sewing :-(

Looking forward to – A relaxing weekend, followed by a busy weekend for Easter.

Do you have any good book recommendations?
Or perhaps some Jazz music recommendations?

Thinking
- About uni, the subjects I have to go and my plans for the future.
- How grateful I am to have S. He is so supportive and loving it overwhelms me.

Eating
I was supposed to be going sugar free this week. Not to lose weight, but to feel healthier overall. I failed miserably, but today I am yet to eat any sugar and it's almost 3:30pm! I ate left over Shepherds pie for lunch.

Listening
My current favourites are The Jezabels and Owl Eyes.

Reading
I need a new book. I just finished Lavender Morning by Jude Deveraux and will do a review this week. I guess I could say I am currently reading Uni textbooks.

Any recommendations?

Watching
I don't watch much TV and all the series I LOVE have ended (Downton Abbey, Mad Men, The Walking Dead). I am waiting for Winners and Losers to start back and Beauty and the Geek. Beauty and the Geek is so trashy, but so good. Don't judge! ha.

Loving

- Little rendezvous' in the city with S. Since he started working 3 streets away, we've met every day for coffee!

- Also still loving that Teddy wakes S in the morning instead of me. I am NOT loving how he plonks himself between us before it's time to get up, which pulls the blanket off me. Thanks Ted, I love being cold in Winter. I am glad you are warm though, Ted.

- My new print from Casey Wiegand art. SO pretty!

Happy Thursday, Friends. It's almost the weekend.
